E. W. Blum Buried Saturday At Coryell City Mrs. E. W.

Blum, 72, died at 03 a.m. last Friday in the Sunset Lutheran Home in Clifton. She was a resident of Coryell City, and had lived in Central Texas most Funeral of her life. services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at John's Rev.

Don Flachmeier officiated, Lutheran Church, Coryell el City. and burial was in St. John's Cemetery. Mrs. Blum, a native of Washington County, moved to the Coryell City community with her parents in 1907.

She married E. W. Blum in 1917. They lived in Hamilton County for 15 years but returned to Coryell City in 1945. Mrs.

Blum was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors are her husband: three sons, Earon W. Blum of Jonesboro, Erwin Blum of Waco and Otto Blum of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Richter of Oglesby and Miss Augus tie Rodenbeck of Coryell City: and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Blum's funeral were Otto Reinhardt, Melvin Jacobs, Walter Gohlke, Albert Weiss, Gilbert Westerfield and Clyde Krempin. Rogers Sr. Buried Sunday Harmon Arch Rogers retired engineer and rancher, died Friday afternoon at his home in the Pecan Grove community. He was 75, and had been in failing health for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Scott's Chapel. Rev. Joe Davis officiated. and burial was in the Davidson Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers: born Sept. 10, 1889. at Mullin, served in the U. S.

Army during the first World War. He was married to Miss Annie Hanna April 23, 1918. and they lived for many years in Cuba. where Mr. Rog.

ers was superintendent of the railroad division of United Fruit Co. They returned to the United States in 1936 and lived in Tulsa. and Waco before mov. ing Coryell County in 1939. Mrs.

Rogers died in 1960. Mr. Rogers is survived by one son. H. A.

Henry Bethke, in Gatesville. He had lived in Coryell County nearly 70 years, and is survived by 108 direct descendants. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Scott's Chapel and were conducted by Rev. G.

L. Derrick. Burial was in the Ater Cemetery with H. L. Her.

Walker serving as pallbearers. Mr. Herring, a native of Alabama, was married to Miss Sarah Jane Carnathan Sept. 11. to 1890, and they came to Coryell County in 1892.

They made their home the Ater community. Mrs. Herring died in 1940, and Mr. Herring moved to Gates ville in 1941. He was a member of the Church of Christ Survivors are four sons, Windom Herring of Fresno.
