Monday in Scott's Funeral Home chapel and were conducted by Howard Porter. Burial was in Restland Cemetery. For about 20 years Mr. Davis teamed with Eddie Spradley to head a western string band known as the Texas Village Boys. This group has been in much demand to play dance dates and to perform at all sorts of entertainment programs and functions.

Mr. Davis had also made many solo appearances over the years. During the initial years of television in Central Texas, the Davfs-Spradley band was featured In a regular weekly program televised by station KCEN, Temple. Born Dec 5, 1928, In Coryell County, Mr. Davis lived in the Gatesville area nearly all his life.

He served overseas With the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the National Guard company in Gatesville for many years. He served a tour of active federal duty with this unit at Fort Polk, in 1961-62. She is second vice president of the Future Homemak-ers Association and received an FHA state degree in Fort Worth in April, She also is a homemaking student assistant, and neighbors who helped in a time of need.
