A Thanksgiving dinner consisting of salads, relishes and croissants was served. TNHA Elects Gary Marwitz Gary L. Marwitz of Mexia, formerly of Gatesville, was elected a vice president of the Texas Nursing Home Association at its annual convention in Houston last week. Marwitz had been serving as the association's secretary. The ostrich can cover about 25 feet at a stride.

AARP Officers To Be Installed Officers of the Gatesville area chapter of the American Association of Retired Fersons have all won re-election for 1975 and are due to be installed at the organization's December meeting. They are Mrs. Bessie Davis, president; H. A. Smith, vice president; Mrs.

Elizabeth Pancake, secretary; and Mrs. Bonnie Bellamy, treasurer, On the board of directors are Ernest A. Draper, M. B. Kindrick, Donald Clark and Buryman Wright.

Members of the nominating committee were Mrs. Mildred Bigham, Mrs. Evelyn Potts, Mrs. Myrtle Voss and Mrs. Gladys Floyd.

The chapter, which meets the second Tuesday of each month, now has 92 members. Chapter leaders, in urging others to join, pointed out that "AARP is the nation's largest non-profit organization for mature Americans, and its one purpose is to serve all older persons, to help them meet their problems more realistically, more economically and more successfully."
