Hall died Sunday at his home, 308 Valley View. He was a retired electrician and stage manager. Born June 18, 1904, in Gatesville, he was the son of the late J. Melvin and Annie Hall. He was reared here.

He began his career as a motion picture operator in Austin in 1924, ana then moved into the theatrical stage-lighting and motion picture industry in California and Nevada. He retired in 1969 as stage director at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. Mr. Hall was a union member of IATSA No. 720 of Las Vegas.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge No. 197 of Gatesville. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Day of Gatesville; a brother, J. Rev. Doc Combs of Moody resigned as pastor of the Turnersville Baptist Church Sunday night. Mrs. Samantha Pruitt attended the ball games in Gatesville Thursday night. Her daughter, Vickie, and her grandsons Billy and Brett Burke played on some of the teams.
