PAGE 10-A THE OATESVILLE MESSENGER, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1984 Rites Held Thursday GHS Class Of "WL For Dewey Nolte 1954 To Hold 30th Reunion 1 Oct 1-6, 1984 I Services for George Dewey Nolte, 86, of Gatesville were held Tuesday afternoon at Scott's Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in the Gatesville City Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Beaird officiated. Nolte died Monday in the local hospital.

Born Aug. 15, 1898 in Bellville, he was the son of the late J.F. and Annie Nolte. He moved to Coryell County as a child and attended school at Tipton in Coryell County. He "married Mary DeFur June 8, 1924 and they have been life-long residents of this area.

Mr. Nolte owned and operated Nolte Auto Supply from 1924 until retirement in 1964. He served as a volunteer fireman in Gatesville for 21 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Nolte was preceded in death by a son, Robert Earl Nolte, in 1939, and a brother, Heber Nolte, in 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Mary DeFur Nolte; a brother, Jake Nolte of The Gatesville High School class of 1954 will hold its 30th-year reunion beginning Friday, October 19 after the Hornet-Lampasas football game. The reunion will be held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Erwin on State School Road. On Saturday, October 20, there will be a get-together and program for the ex-students at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant.

Den 3 Cubs Report Meeting Den 3 Cub Scouts of Pack 272, at their recent meeting, celebrated the birthday of Michael Ingram with a happy birthday song, following opening flag ceremonies. The Cubs assisted each other with assignments relating to badges and ranks, and studied facts about Gatesville. Those at the meeting were David Dunahoo, Randy Turner, Mike Lewis, Jimmy Griffith, Coy Chambers, Carry Bates, Bobby Baker, Scott Lewis, Justin McCarley, Jason Reeves, Micheal Ingram and Rusty Ozmer. Breakfast-Lunch-Homemade Pie Orders to Go Services for Samuel Loviet (Buck) Henderson 67, of Gatesville were held Thursday Sept. 20, at Scott's Funeral Home Chapelwith burial in the Resthaven Cemetery in Belton. The Rev. M. V.

Hemphill officiated. Henderson died Sept. 18 at the Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Born April 5, 1917 in Grimes County, he was the son of the late James Berry and Orphie Russell Henderson. He married Lois West in 1944.

Henderson was a Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was a self-employed welding contractor, working in the Houston area, then moving to the Sealy area, and moving to Gatesville four years ago. He is survived by his wife, Lois Henderson; a son, Harold Henderson of Chattanooga, three daughters: Bobbie Dodson of Sealy, Linda Earlene Marvel of Galatia, 111., Lisa Miller of Wyona, three brothers: Allen Henderson of Houston, Woodrow Henderson of Lone Jack, James Henderson Jr. of Houston; three sisters; Willie Roach of Madison ville, Nancy Wells of Houston, Aline Allen of. Clovis, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
