THE GATESVILLE MESSENGER, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27, 18S4 PAGE 1-B Obituaries beginning Stock-up for the fear ending 1934 Four County Residents Earn Tarleton Degrees Abner Hairres Donaldson i I Abner Haines Donaldson, 80, of Gatesville died Dec. 18 at the local hospital. Graveside services were held Dec. 20 at the Flint Creek Cemetery. The Rev.

Rex Tilly officiated at the services. Mr. Donaldson was born Dec. 18, 1904 in Coryell County, the son of the late John and Ida Donaldson. He married Ruby Waller, with her preceding him in death in 1961.

He had Degrees were awarded to four Coryell County graduates during commencement exercises held Dec. 16 at Tarleton State University. They were among the total of 198 graduates receiving degrees at the ceremonies. Cherry Dawn Lock of Jonesboro received her bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education; been a constable in Coryell County and had carried the mail in the Mound area. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Donaldson is survived by a son, Bates Donaldson of Gatesville; two daughters, Joyce Twiss of Columbia, Conn, and Patsy Jones of Angleton; a brother, Marshall Donaldson of Gatesville; a sister, Neda Woods of Florida; and eight grandchildren. J. Louis Evans, former Director of Information at tSU, was speaker for the winter commencement which was held in Wisdom Gymnasium Evans was associated with the uni' versity in various capacities for over 20 years and served for many years as Executive Secretary of the Tarleton Alumni Association. He retired last August.

These accidents resulted in no deaths and 5 injuries. The total rural traffic accidents for Coryell County for this year is 175, which have resulted in 4 deaths and 106 injuries. The twenty-two counties which comprise Highway Patrol District 6A had a total of 5,734 rural traffic accidents this' year which have resulted in 198 deaths and 3,623 injuries. This compares to 5,840 accidents, 190 deaths, and 3,593 injuries reported during this same period last year.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Restland Cemetery. Officiating at the services was the Rev. M. V.

Hemphill. Mrs. Richardson was born July 16, 1909, the daughter of the late J. W. and Sarah Herring.

She was married to Dick William Richardson I on Sept. 25, 1926. They made their) home in Gatesville all their married life. Mr. Richardson preceded her in death Aug.
