PAGE 6-A THE GATESVILLE MESSENGER, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1990 Stubblefield Loyd (Skeeter) Stubblefield, 53, of Temple died Feb. 10 at his residence. Graveside services were held Feb. 12 in the Buckhorn Cemetery with Rev. Don Surles officiating.

Survivors include: two sons, Dan Stubblefield and Stevie Stubblefield, both of Burnet; five sisters, Hazel Hodges, Dee Keith Harris, 26, of Georgetown died Feb. 10 in Austin. Services were held Feb. 12 in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Georgetown with Rev. Harold Shirley officiating.

Burial was in the Turnersville Memorial Cemetery in Turnersville. Born Feb. 23, 1963 in Waco, he was the son of Al and Wanda Harris of Georgetown. He was resident of Georgetown for years. He was a student.

Erwin Mrs. Oves "Maw" Erwin, 82, of Gatesville died Feb. 16 in the Coryell Memorial Hospital. Services were held Feb. 19 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev.

Lloyd Sansom, Rev. Jack Hopkins and Rev. Plez Todd officiating. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Born Oct.

12, 1907 in Haskell, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jettie Elliott. She was raised and educated in Sherman. She moved to San Angelo where she met and married Jim Erwin March 4, 1928. They made their home there until moving to Gatesville in Dec. 1946.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gatesville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Charles Elliott. Survivors include: her husband; one son, James Elliott (Jamie) Erwin of Gatesville; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Sterling of Clarette and Mrs. Ruth Cleveland of Canadian; one brother, Buford "Boots" Elliott of Stephenville; three grandchildren; and four great -grandchildren.

Tilly, who begins his fulltime ministry March 1, has been involved with the ministry since 1957, when he was ordained in Bangor, Maine. He has served churches in Texas, Maine and Rhode Island.

He will be ending his 10-year association with Scott's Funeral Home. Tilly, who also managed Gatesville Funeral Home for six years before joining the staff at Scott's, was director of the firm's outreach programs. A native of Rhode Island, he moved to Gatesville in 1969.
