She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ She was preceded in death by a son, Refford Baize, in 1970 and by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Survivors include ihcr husband, Preston Baize of Gatesville; two daughters, MableAnn Hill of Gatesville and Helen Smith of Mart; four sons, ferion Baize and Oeddy Baize, both of Gatesville, Drayphuss Baize of Nacogdoches and Bobby Baize of Mart; two sisters. Hazel I arham ofTumersviHe and Lnrille Hamilton of Gatesville; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Grandchildren served as pallbearers. The family suggests memorials be made to theTuraersvu Cemetery Associa tion.

Several people from Mound attended the junior high and high school bands and choirs concert last Tuesday evening in the Gatesville High School gymnasium. Blayn Barnard and Scott Henry of Lubbock, David and Blayr Barnard of Gatesville, Ron, Lisa Dalton and Bailey Barnard of Leon Junction, Kay, Kelby and Casey Jones visited Sunday after-noon with Sterlin Barnard, Don, Sue and Brack Jones. Gary, Debbie, Graig and Gip Keeton visited in Flat Sunday with Kathy Sievers.

Robert Pruett treated Patti Pruett for her birthday Saturday with a dinner in Gatesville at Dyer's Restaurant. They went dancing afterwards. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel in GatesviDe with Dr.

Jay Riley officiating. Interment was in the Maxdale Cemetery, south of Killeen. Mr. Franks was born Dec. 7, 19 10, in Evant to the late Ira and Ada Lipsey Franks.

A longtime resident of Gatesville, be had resided in Hamilton for the past eight years. On Dec 2 1 1933, he married Julia Nadine Ellis in Killeen. She preceded him in death on Jan. 15, 1988. He was retired from Civil Service at Fort Hood and was a member of the Baptist church.

He was also preceded in death by Survivon include ore daughter, Franks and Richard Ellis Franks, both of Hart; one brother, Howard Franks of Gatesville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lance Franks, Lee Franks, Jayson WrutUanue Martin, Brad Martin and Eddie Westin. Winnie McClesky Winnie McClesky of Gatesville died May 1 8 at her residence She was 76. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Scott's Funeral Home with the Rev, Larry VanZile officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.

She was born Oct 2, 1920, to the late Jack and Ethel (Cohagan) Whigham at Leon Junction where she spent her childhood and attended school. She married Dayton McClesky on Sept 14, 1935, and they resided in the Spring Hill community until 1952 when they moved to their ranch near Gatesville. She was a rancher and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 2, 1996, and by her brother, J.B. Whigham.

Survivors include her son, Joe Dean McClesky of Gatesville; a sister, Minnie Ounmings of Moffat; two grandchildren; and five gi-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jackie Pruitt, Eugene Dyer; Leslie Reagan, Kenneth Brown, LawrenceWoodlock, Bobby Curry and HP. Brookshire, The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 76528. Winifred Jane Sage Winifred (Winnie) Sage of Neosho, MO, died May 12 in Neosho.

She was 7 Funeral services were held at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. Interment was at the National Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Mrs.SagewasbomAug.31, 1925, to the late William G.Andrew and MatyT. (Shook) Andrew. On Oct 14, 1944, she married Robert Sage.

They moved to Neosho in 1952 fromTirjton Fold, MO. She was a clerical workeT for Sale Memorial and Freeman Neosho Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Widow to Widow and AARP. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1987.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Dovson of Joplin, MO, andTeri James of Lewisville; a son, RogerA. Sage of Billings, MT; one brother, Vt.G. Andrew of Fort Worth; two sisters, (Catherine Corbin ofWaco and Dorothy Carroll of Pearl; and six grandchildren. Jackie Sue BameQ of Buckholts, and formerly of Gatesville, died May 19 in a Temple hospital She was 34. Graveside services were held Wednesday in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Franklin with the Rev.

Jim Manning officiating. She was bom Dec 1, 1962, in Fort Beoning, GA, and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville. Survivors include one son, BubbaCouch of Belton; a daughter, Latisha Dawn Couch of Belton; one brother, Donald Bamett of China Spring; and three sisters, Karen Towner of Bryan, Patricia Hannah of Buckholts, and Robin Price of Gatesville. IraBynum Ira Bynum of Gatesville died May 1 9 in Coryell Memorial Hospital at the age Funeral services were held Wednesday at theWestMain Street Church of Christ with Delbert Smith officiating.

Burial was in Pearl Cemetery. He was bom Jan. 1908, in Pearl and was raised and educated in Coryell County. He was a farmer and rancher most of his life and drove a Gatesvilk school bus for about 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had served as a deacon for many years.

Survivors include a nephew, Bob Boyd, of Gatesville. Jackson was born Jan. 31, 1972, in Denver, CO.theson of Billy and Mary Ann Kahler Jackson. He resided in various Texas towns, including Ennis where he attended Sam Houston Elementary and Ennis High School. In 1986, he moved with his parents to Alaska and graduated from Lantrip High School in Fairbanks, AK, in 1990. He then returned to Texas and was employed at Jackson Auto Sales and attended Navarro Junior College.

On Dec. 21, 1996, he married Jeanie Laxson. They resided in Denton where he was employed at Phil Dill Boats.
