24 at Town Country Manor in Boerne. Services were held Aug. 27 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Jones officiating. Burial was in the Turnersville Cemetery.

Born Nov. 1. 1902. in Turners ville. she was the only daughter born to R.D.A.

"Bob" Tharp and Jennie Mitchell Tharp. She graduated from Gatesville High School, attended Meridian Junior College in Clifton and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas State College for Women in Denton. She did graduate work at North Texas State Teachers College in Denton and at the Universities of Arkansas, Colorado. Texas Tech and Texas A AM. She devoted 22-and-ooe-half years to the teaching profession.

She taught subjects including homemaking, biology, Spanish, typing and coaching basketball. She taught school in Weeks. Walnut Springs, Turnersville, Pearl, Dowdy and Oglesby. In 1946, she began work for the Texas Extension Service. She served as home demonstration agent in Lampasas County for five-and-one-half years and in Concho County for 14 years.

She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in Waco. She maintained an active membership in the TSTA Retired Teachers Association. She served as president of the Turnersville Cemetery Association for seven years and accepted chairmanship of the East Wing while living at the Stilwell Residence. Survivors include nieces, Mrs.

Laurene Elder of Boerne and Mrs. Pat Ternus of Austin and nephews, Maurice Allen Tharp of Dallas and Robert Melvin Tharp of Irving. Cemetery. Bora May 8. 1899 in Moody, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth McXin-nev.

She was raised and attended school in Moody, later she graduated from Gatesville High School. She married Ted Brumbalow Aug. 18. 1924. They resided in Burkburnett through 1924.

moving to Wichita Falls where they lived until 1945. She and her husband then moved to Gatesville. Mrs. Brumbalow was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gatesville where she was librarian for many years. She was preceded In death by her husband in 1976 and a daughter in 1982.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Loving of Gatesville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Beatrice Bankston Mrs. jtD. (Beatrice) Bankston, 83.

of Gatesville died Aug. 23 at Coryell Memorial Hospital. Services were held Aug. 25 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Curtis Beaird officiating.

Burial was in the new I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hamilton. Born Jan. 25. 1904 in Hamilton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Georgia Chambliss.

She married John Dee Bankston May 30, 1925 in Hamilton. He preceded her in death June IS, 1986. She came to Gatesville from Hamilton in 1954. She worked for the Railway Express office for a few years. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gatesville.

Survivors inlcude one sister, Mrs. Bernice Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers at the funeral were Bill Hale. Morris Bell, Tom Godfrey. Bill Goodrich, Stanley Miles, Robert Williams and H.L.

9. 1907, in Navarro County, she was the daughter of the late Bill Anglen and Mary Ida Shanks. She moved to Coryell County in 1924. She was retired from the Quarter Master Laundry at Fort Hood. She married Clarence A.

Lovell Sept. 1958 in Gatesville. He preceded her in death Feb. 15. 1977.

Survivors include two sisters, Minnie BlakJey of Lampasas and Jimmy Shipley of Altus, OK and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers at the funeral were Gary Payne, Roy Brooks, Jackie Lovell, Larry Lovell, Bud Talbot and Dempsey Ward. RX. "Bob" Brown R. L.

'Bob" Brown. 71, of Gatesville died Aug. 23 at Coryell Memorial Hospital. Services were held Aug. 25 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Rex Tilly officiating. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Born Sept. 14. 1915 in the Ruth Community of Coryell County, he was the son of the late Rebel and Tommie Lee Brown.

He was raised and attended school in the Ewing Community and graduated from Gatesville High School. He married Jeanne Burdette May 29, 1944. He was a retired Civil Service worker at Fort Hood from 1962 to 1978. He waa an Army WWU veteran and a Methodist Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Betty Ann Brown of Gatesville; three sons, Donald Marshall Brown of Houston, Robert Brown II of Independence, MO and Rebel Brown of Gatesville; three sisters. Pearl Sessums of Metaire, LA, Kathryn Gray of Beaumont and Frances Breighaupt of Corsicana; two brothers, Joe Ned Brown of Dallas and Rebel Brown of Waco; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Chris Brown, Eddie Pietra-szek. Doyle Short, Doyle Blan-chard. Boney Riddling, J.R. Cook and Dan Brummett. Courtney Gober Tommy and Jamie Gober of Gatesville announce the arrival of a baby daughter, Courtney Mechell, born at 1:16 a.m.

25 at Coryell Memorial Hospital. Services were held Aug. 28 at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Sansom and Rev. Plez Todd officiating.

Burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Born June 14, 1907. in Ada. OK, she was the daughter of the late Falcon and Delia Stephenson. She was raised in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.

She attended North Texas State University and the University of Houston lacking only four hours receiving her doctorate degree. She was retired from the Houston LSD and had moved to Gatesville in 1979.
